Wolfsbane

Wolfsbane is a flavorless herbal plant. It is also very harmful for a werewolves, with similar effects as vervain has to a daeva vampire . Depending on the breed of werewolf, the plant has varying effects.

Wolfsbane's Effects[]

Wolfsbane affects werewolves in any form, human or wolf. It can be put into a syringe and injected. It can also be put into a were's drink as well. Once the effect of wolfsbane takes place, almost immediately after consumption or injection, the poison of the wolfsbane spreads through the were's body in seconds, rendering him/her extremely weak - much like a sickness would cause severe fatigue and aching within the body. The were will not have enough energy to physically move and, if injected with enough, will become unconscious. A large dose of it will kill some breeds but not others.

Someone spiking a were's drink with wolfsbane

Some weres choose to drink wolfsbane, diluted in water, before a transformation in order to weaken themselves so they will not hurt anyone. Tyler Lockwood has compared it to drinking battery acid.

Direct contact with wolfsbane will burn an Ashe Wolf serverly.

Oak White Wolves (TVD) - A large amount is lethal. Is affective in both human and wolf form.
